A Case Study On Asset Divestiture In The Implementation Of Cross-Border Transformation Strategy Of The New Continent Company

In recent years,with the in-depth study of asset divestiture,more and more enterprises have realized that asset divestiture is an effective way for enterprises to adjust their strategies in the fierce market competition.Asset divestiture belongs to asset reorganization.After the divestiture of non-performing assets,enterprises can slim down themselves,then pay more attention on the development of the company's main business.Cross-border transformation means entering from one industry to another.Cross-border means merging new enterprises and purchasing new assets.Transformation means stripping the part that is not suitable for the company's development.The essence of cross-border transformation is an activity of asset reorganization.In this study,cross-border transformation is not only the strategic background of asset divestiture,but also the purpose of asset divestiture.This paper selects a representative company,the New Continent Company as a case to study.According to certain logical thinking,this paper is divided into six parts.The specific contents are as follows:the first part mainly describes the background and significance of the research,ideas and methods of the research,and summarizes the study on cross-border transformation and asset divestiture;the second part mainly summarizes the related theories of cross-border transformation and asset divestiture;the third part describes the company's cross-border transformation strategy and the process of the company's asset divestiture;the fourth part is the analysis of the causes,effects and problems of the asset divestiture in the implementation of the cross-border transformation strategy in the company;the fifth part is to put forward the suggestions of the cross-border transformation and the asset divestiture and the Enlightenment from the case to whom hoping to achieve the strategic purpose through the asset divestiture;the last part is the conclusion of this paper and the prospect in the following research.
