With the development of Internet technology and the increasing variety of games, young people devote more and more time and energy to them and never get bored.Managers are finding that traditional management methods are not particularly suited to a younger workforce.Younger workers prefer to work in a relaxed,play-like environment. So the thinking of gamification management came into being. From the emergence of the concept of "gamification" in 2010 to the practical application of "gamification" in education, training, medical treatment and other fields,it can be seen that "gamification" has been accepted by more and more organizations and managers.Of course, there are two sides to gamification.Gamification has its place.Only by systematically understanding the concept and applicable scope of gamification can gamification be applied to organizational management.A unit of management and junior staff is called a team.In this kind of group organization unit, the application condition, mode effect and individual level of gamification are slightly different. Some elements of gamification apply to individuals, but have little effect on teams. Therefore, this paper studies the influence mechanism of gamification on team performance from the team level.Team cooperation is introduced as an intermediary variable to explore how gamification affects team performance. This paper selects award(with/without)and role-playing(with/without)as independent variables, and the dependent variables are task performance and contextual performance.Experimental research and questionnaire survey were used to examine the influence of two gamification design elements on team performance and teamwork,as well as the moderating effect of award. In this experiment,144 first-year undergraduate students of xi 'an university of electronic science and technology were selected as experimental subjects, and they were divided into 48 groups for experimental tasks. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:1.Teams with award gamification design elements have higher task performance than teams without award gamification design elements.2.Teams with role-playing game design elements have a higher level of teamwork, and their task performance and peripheral performance are also higher than those without role-playing game design elements.3.Gamified design element award has a significant impact on team performance through teamwork.4.Award plays a positive role in moderating the impact of role-playing on contextual performance. When there were rewards, role playing had a stronger influence on peripheral performance.5.Award of gamification design element ACTS as a reverse regulation of the influence of role-playing design element on task performance. When there was no reward,role-playing had a stronger impact on task performance.Based on the existing theories and research results, this paper conducts an experimental study on the internal influencing mechanism of team performance. The results of this study have positive significance for improving the relevant theories and researches of gamification in organizational management at the team level.Enterprise managers can systematically understand the scope of gamification and the theoretical mechanism behind it,and at the same time, they can better manage young employees and realize the positive significance of teamwork and intra-team innovation for improving team performance.
