In recent years,China’s logistics industry has developed rapidly,but the profitability of most private logistics companies is not satisfactory.The reason is that traditional logistics enterprises have relatively simple service contents,and their business activities are basically warehousing and transportation services,and the profit model can be highly replicated.SF Logistics is a successful construction of the profit model in the modern logistics industry,but it also has its own shortcomings.After combing the theory of profit model,value chain theory and strategic management theory,this paper comprehensively uses three different research methods of quantitative analysis,literature research and case study to explore the advantages and disadvantages of SF logistics company’s existing profit model,hoping to be China.Modern logistics companies answer questions about how to improve profitability.This paper firstly conducted an in-depth understanding of SF logistics company through literature review and case study,and found that SF Logistics Company has a unique "profit fee+supply chain value-added service income" hybrid profit model.Combined with the profit model theory,the profit model of the profit model,profit source,profit leverage and profit barrier are elaborated.Using quantitative analysis and comparative analysis methods,the profitability of SF Logistics Company is compared with competitors,and the advantages and disadvantages of SF Logistics’ existing profit model are obtained.Finally,compared with its strategic objectives,Find out the reasons for the problems with its existing profit model and give suggestions for improvement.For the problem that the express delivery fee is higher and the competitor’s differentiation advantage is weakened,this paper suggests that SF logistics company implements a differentiated marketing mix strategy,find new differentiated growth points in the market segment,and consolidate its profit barrier;The problem of weak profit source of express delivery is recommended to strengthen cooperation with e-commerce,provide differentiated service products for different types of e-commerce enterprises,seek optimization and reorganization of industries and related fields,and cooperate with leading international logistics companies;The problem of low revenues,this paper gives suggestions for building an open logistics platform,upgrading supply chain services,and developing fourth-party logistics business on this basisBased on theoretical research and case analysis,this paper draws relevant conclusions,tries to solve the current problems of SF logistics company’s profit model,and also gives some reference for the long-term development of China’s logistics industry.
