Research On The Impact Of Agglomeration Of Producer Services In The Yangtze River Economic Belt On The Transformation And Upgrading Of Manufacturing Industry

As one of the driving forces of China's sustained economic growth,the manufacturing industry occupies an important position in China's national economy.However,under the background of rising labor costs in China,insufficient capacity for independent innovation,and the rise of emerging low-cost manufacturing countries,the development of China's manufacturing industry is facing severe challenges,there is an urgent need to realize the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.As an intermediate input sector of the manufacturing industry,the productive service industry invests knowledge capital and human capital in the manufacturing industry.The improvement of its development and agglomeration level has an important impact on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.Since the reform and opening up,the Yangtze River Economic Belt has developed into one of the regions with the most comprehensive strength,the most strategic support,and the most active economic development in China.It has played an important exemplary role in promoting the optimization and adjustment of China's industrial structure and the transformation of economic development methods effect.Therefore,it is of great theoretical and practical significance to further study how the agglomeration of productive service industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has an impact on manufacturing upgrades,how the effects are,and how to gather to promote the upgrading of manufacturing industry more reasonably.On the basis of summarizing the relevant literature on industrial agglomeration theory,industrial transformation and upgrading theory,and the impact of productive service industry agglomeration on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry,this paper first qualitatively analyzes the mechanism of the effect of productive service industry agglomeration on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industry,secondly,it analyzes the development status of productive service industry agglomeration and manufacturing upgrade in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,and then it selects the panel data of 11 provinces and cities in the Yangtze River Economic Belt from 2008 to2017,and uses the panel data model to quantitatively analyze the impact of agglomeration of productive service industries and the agglomeration of various sub-sectors on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing,and it analyzes the regional differences of its impact,the empirical results show:(1)On the whole,the agglomeration of productiveservice industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt has a significant positive impact on manufacturing upgrades,and its impact has significant regional differences,the concentration level of productive service industries in the eastern and western regions of the Yangtze River Economic Belt is relatively high,while the concentration trend of productive service industries in the central region is not obvious;(2)From the perspective of each sub-sector,the impact of the agglomeration of various sub-sectors of the production service industry on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry also shows obvious differences,the agglomeration of transportation,warehousing and postal industries;the agglomeration of financial industries and the agglomeration of scientific research,technical services and geological surveys have a positive impact on the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing industries in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,the impact of information transmission,computer services,and software agglomeration on the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry is not significant;leasing and agglomeration of business services have hindered the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing,but not significantly.Finally,Based on the above qualitative and quantitative analysis conclusions,combining the development status of the productive service industry and manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt,corresponding policy suggestions are put forward in a targeted manner,which will provide some useful lessons for promoting the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry in the Yangtze River Economic Belt.
