With the successful convening of the second Expo,imports have once again become a hot topic in the Chinese economy.Boosting the supply side by expanding imports is an important method of structural innovation on the supply side.What will the expansion of imports bring to the Chinese economy and technology?The impact of this is a problem that everyone is paying attention to,and many scholars have conducted research on this issue.Now China's development has entered a new journey.The economic development actually depends on the development of technology.Innovation is the strongest driving force for development.Under the strategic background of scientific and technological power,what will the increase in imports bring to the upgrading of industrial technology?Impact?With such doubts,this article starts with the medical device industry and studies the impact of import competition on corporate R&D behavior.First of all,based on the basic theories of product life cycle and other in-depth analysis of the mechanism of imports affecting research and development,from the direct and indirect effects of technological progress to analyze the role of imports in research and development path.Then it analyzes the current status of China's import and R&D,and focuses on China's high-tech industry.On this basis,the medical device industry is selected as the entry point,with the import penetration rate as the core variable,using 20 A-share listed companies in the medical device industry 2009-2018 data combined with three measurement models analyzes the impact of import competition on R&D investment.Finally,sort out the analysis results and give rationalized opinions.Import policy reform is the focus of China's trade reform.Clarifying the impact of import competition on R&D will help China integrate trade policy and scientific research policies,better promote industrial upgrading and economic development,and move toward the goal of a big science and technology country.This article is composed of five chapters.The first chapter introduces the research background of this time,explains the research significance,innovation and shortcomings.The second chapter is divided into two parts.Firstly,it introduces the important concepts and basic theories involved,and secondly,it sorts out the important documents of core variables.The third chapter focuses on the analysis of the mechanism of import competition on enterprise R&D,the in-depth analysis of the mechanism of import competition on the allocation of innovative resources,and the analysis of other factors that affect the mechanism of the two,and finally introduces the national import and R&D situation.It further introduced the high-tech industry and its research and development,and conducted an in-depth analysis with the medical device industry as the starting point.The fourth chapter studies the relationship between import competition and R&D from an empirical perspective.First,it estimates the important variable in the model-total factor productivity,and then constructs a basic regression model and a model that takes into account heterogeneity factors.The differential impact of import competition on the upgrading of industrial structure.Chapter 7 is the conclusion and policy recommendations.Summarized the results of this study and put forward policy recommendations based on the results combined with the actual situation.Through researching this article,the following main conclusions are drawn:1.Improve import policy.Continue to carry out reforms on trade and industrial policies on the basis of adhering to the "equal emphasis on both export and import" policy,and guide the development of the import and export structure in a more reasonable direction.2.Adjust the import structure,implement different policies for processing trade and general trade enterprises,and increase the import proportion of high-tech products.3.Build and improve innovation mechanism,improve research and development capabilities,and help enterprises achieve secondary innovation.4.Implement different policies for enterprises that produce products with different technological contents.
