The Research On The Macro-control Methods Of Planned Market Economy In Postwar Taiwan

The economy of Taiwan has spanned more than 60 years since the 1950 s.When Taiwan was successively governed by Chiang kai-shek and Chiang ching-kuo,Taiwan created remarkable achievement.Taiwan was an island where natural resource was scarce initially,but it gradually developed into a prosperous economy in less than forty years,making Taiwan become one of the Asian tigers.However,when the Democratic Progressive Party came to power at the beginning of 21 century,the economic growth has declined.Making an analysis of the development of Taiwan economy,we can sum up the main reasons: the background of international economy,economic regulation practiced by the authorities,political and economic conditions in the island,and cross-strait relations.In Taiwan social economy reforming process,those factors were playing their respective roles in varying degrees.The article concludes that the macro-control is one of the most critical influences on Taiwan success.Taiwan economy achieves great success,hence,there exists many development experience before the 21 st century,which can be used as guidelines for the rest of the developing countries and regions in the world to realize industrialization and modernization.This paper views the macro-control methods of planned market economy in postwar Taiwan as the research object.Based on the official data mainly,the article dose a review on the course of Taiwan economic development first.Then it studies the macro-control methods of Taiwan from the macro,middle and micro dimensions with the purpose of inspecting comprehensively the relationship of the macro-control and economic development.In addition,the objective effect of the macro-control at every stage would be obtained through the data analysis.In the end,the paper makes a summing up of the useful experience of Taiwan economy in order to provide certain reference for the emerging developing countries and regions.
