With the rapid development of China's internet industry,enterprises are trying to meet the increasing daily life demand of people.In pursuit of scale efficiency,enterprises often invest multiple projects in research and development.However,due to the fact that traditional project management methods do not fully consider the problems of resource conflict,inaccurate evaluation of construction period and lack of supervision methods,etc.,traditional project management methods cannot effectively meet the needs of enterprises for multi-project schedule management.Therefore,finding a suitable project management method is becoming more and more important for enterprises to achieve their own strategic objectives and revenue indicators.This paper takes Company L as the research object and optimizes the multi project schedule management of it through the theory and method of critical chain.First of all,this paper clarifies the background,purpose and significance of this study,as well as the research ideas and possible innovation.Secondly,this paper clarifies the critical chain theory,theory of constraints,aggregation theory and gray systems theory,while taking a comprehensive review of the domestic and foreign scholars research on critical chains and multi-project schedule.Thirdly,this paper introduces the status,process and characteristics of R&D in Company L,as well as the problems faced by Project X and Project Y under the traditional management methods and the reasons.Then,based on the theory of critical chain,a multi-project progress management model is constructed,including multi-project priority evaluation,project duration evaluation,critical chain identification,buffer setting and monitoring.After that,the key chain model is used to rework the project schedule of project X and Y of Company L,to solve the problem that the two projects are delayed when they come online.Meanwhile,the application effect is analyzed to verify the reliability and scientificity of the model.Finally,this paper summarizes the research work and points out the direction for the later optimization.
