Since its establishment,Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank has been a county-level state-owned commercial bank with a large market share and a long-term leading position in the system.With China’s overall economic growth entering the "new normal",the banking industry is inevitably affected.Inter-industry competition tends to be white-hot.Apart from three other major state-owned commercial banks continuing to catch up,Zhangjiagang Rural Commercial Bank in this region has surpassed Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank in scale.At present,the management and development of Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank is facing enormous difficulties and challenges,and there are many problems.Starting from the economic and social development of Zhangjiagang and the problems faced by Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank,this paper combines the economic development planning of Zhangjiagang City with the transformation demand of Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank,and makes a qualitative and brief analysis of the operating environment,internal and external advantages and disadvantages and competitive strategy of Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank by using PEST,SWOT and Porter’s five-force model,and combines the transformation measures adopted at present,and then makes a qualitative and brief analysis of the next stage.Zhangjiagang Agricultural Bank’s transformation and development provides countermeasures and suggestions for the county state-owned commercial banks peer reference.
