Research On The Development Of Pepper Industry In Zhecheng County

Zhecheng County is located in the eastern part of Henan Province,the middle and lower reaches of the Huiji River.The natural conditions such as water resources and land resources are very good,which is very suitable for the cultivation of Sanying pepper.The pepper cultivation has a history of more than 400 years.After continuous local efforts,Zhecheng County has become the nation's largest pepper industry base.The development of the pepper industry has played an important role in increasing local farmers' income and is an important pepper cultivation,distribution,processing base and price formation center in the country.In 2017,the former General Administration of Quality Supervision,Inspection and Quarantine of the People's Republic of China approved the protection of geographical indication products for “Zhecheng County Pepper”.In 2019,"Zhecheng Pepper" was selected into the catalog of Chinese agricultural brands.Therefore,an in-depth study on the development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng County is not only beneficial to the further development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng County,but also provides a reference for the development of characteristic agricultural products industries in other regions.This paper uses literature analysis,logical induction,on-site investigation,and comparative analysis to conduct field research on the pepper industry in Zhecheng County,analyzes the existing problems and causes,and explores countermeasures for sustainable development.Among them,the first part is an introduction,which puts forward the topic selection background and research purpose,the current research status,research methods,and research ideas of the pepper industry at home and abroad,and proposes possible innovations in this article.The second part defines the related concepts of the pepper industry.It expounds some theories related to the pepper industry;the third part studies the overall characteristics of the development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng;the fourth part analyzes the advantages,disadvantages,opportunities and challenges in the development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng by using the SWOT model The fifth part draws inspiration from the development of typical pepper industry in China and draws enlightenment from the development of pepper industry in Zhecheng County;the sixth partputs forward its own countermeasures and suggestions for the development of pepper industry in Zhecheng County;Conclusion and prospect of pepper industry development in Zhecheng County.The study believes that the pepper industry in Zhecheng County has significant regional characteristics and a high degree of industrial development impact,which has become an important support for rural industrial revitalization and an important source of farmers' increased income.However,due to the lack of strong technological leaders in the local pepper industry,incomplete brand building,and lack of deep processing enterprises,the pepper industry has not yet formed a complete industrial chain.The pepper industry has experienced degradation of pepper varieties,insufficient deep processing,and industrial chains.Short,no regional brand effects and other issues.Aiming at the existing problems,the research suggestion is to establish standardized production bases,processing bases,storage and logistics bases,strengthen the construction of distinctive geographical brands,and establish a new pepper industry development model.The innovation of this article is a systematic comprehensive study of the development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng County.Based on the data obtained from the survey and SWOT analysis,it analyzes the problems existing in the development of the pepper industry in Zhecheng County.Suggestions for sustainable development.
