Under the background of the globalization of the world economy,the influence of international trade on the economic development of our country is more and more great.Therefore,the research of foreign trade attracts the general attention of the government and the academic circles.Since ancient times,Mongolia mainly relies on the export of livestock products and the import of other products as the main channel of international trade.However,after 2000,the development and utilization of the mineral resources and the increase of the total export volume of Mongolia have made the proportion of foreign exchange earning of mineral exports grow continuously.Up to now,the national income of Mongolia is largely dependent on the export of mineral resources to earn foreign exchange.The mineral industry plays a leading role in the economy of Mongolia and becomes one of the main factors of economic growth.Therefore,the purpose of this paper is to study the influence of Mongolia's foreign trade on economic growth.Through the comparative study of the foreign trade structure of Mongolia over the years,this paper analyzes the influencing factors of Mongolia's foreign trade on economic growth by using the relevant theories of international trade,and puts forward policy suggestions for its future development direction of international trade.From 1921 to 1950,the Soviet Union was the only partner country of Mongolia's foreign trade.Since then,Mongolia began to trade with a few capitalist countries besides some socialist countries.In 1990,it began to implement the transformation from planned economy to market economy,and implemented the free trade policy,which changed from the state monopoly trade to the participation of domestic and foreign enterprise legal persons in foreign trade activities,promoting the further development of the national economy.After Mongolia's accession to WTO in 1997,the significance of international trade in the total economic volume of Mongolia has expanded significantly.
