Research On The Development Of Online Knowledge Payment Platform From The Perspective Of Long Tail Theory

In the Internet era,the mode of providing and paying for knowledge has changed,and the tool property of the knowledge has become increasingly prominent.In recent years,as the development of online knowledge payment industry passed the stages of explosion,bottleneck and rational redevelopment,people’s cognition towards paying for knowledge online have gradually moved from the initial freshness,blindly follow the crowd,suffer from knowledge anxiety to view rationally,and choose knowledge products they need more freely.As the largest domestic content consumption platform,the "Himalaya" APP is a comprehensive online knowledge payment platform in the form of audio mainly,which is to some extent representative and typical among similar platforms.So taking the"Himalaya" platform as an example,this article uses the long-tail theory in economics to analyze the developmental stages and current situation of online knowledge payment platforms,the psychological and behavioral characteristics of users,the knowledge products and the content dissemination of the payment platform.Besides,this paper also sort out the advantages and disadvantages in the development of online knowledge payment platform "Himalaya",and try to predict the possible developing direction and trend of online knowledge payment platforms from the perspective of long tail theory within the future.This research finds that people are paying more and more attention to their individual needs.The content producers and users are beginning to focus part of their attention on some niche knowledge products at the tail of the market.In the Internet environment,online knowledge payment platforms can provide such a long-tail shelf with unlimited space.Online knowledge payment progressively shows the characteristics and trends of the long-tail economy.Every aspect of the online knowledge products,like source,content,marketing,and pricing,etc.involves the thinking and use of a long-tail perspective.The accurate recommendation of big data technology,the combination of membership system and intelligent hardware will also help the spread of the content at the end of long tail.This research considers that in the future,online knowledge payment platforms may lay emphasis on the development and dissemination of mobile long-tail content,and gradually turn to a people-centered community.
