Research On The Relationship Between Households' Land Use And Sustainable Livelihoods In Suburban Rural Tourism Destination

Faced with the changes in rural man-land relationship brought about by rapid urbanization and industrial upgrading,the issues are exposed to huge challenges and opportunities.Rural tourism has become a critical choice for the revitalization and high-quality development of many villages,especially in suburban villages with significant locational advantages.As the most basic natural resource in rural areas,land is not only the basis for the survival and development of farmers,but also an indispensable resource for rural tourism development.Rural tourism development therefore inevitably brings disturbances to households' land use and households' livelihoods.Therefore,what changes has rural tourism development brought to households' land use? How will these changes affect households' livelihoods? And how can we optimize land use and rural tourism development to improve households' livelihoods? How to make reasonable use of limited rural land resources so that land use,rural tourism development and farmer livelihoods coexist in harmony?Based on literature review and practical investigation,this study constructs two conceptual models of the impact relationship between rural tourism development,households' land use and sustainable livelihoods,taking typical suburban rural tourist destination as the main study case,using the structural equation model to test the hypothetical relationships among the three variables,and several suggestions for improvement have been proposed.The conclusions are as follows:(1)the development of rural tourism has a significant positive impact on the degree of land use,structure and benefits of rural households;(2)the development of rural tourism has a significant positive impact on the livelihood assets and livelihood strategies of farmer;(3)the degree,structure and benefits of land use by farmers have an impact on the livelihood capital of farmers;(4)furthermore,the diversification of farmers' livelihood strategies has affected the land use of farmers.The structure and benefits also have a significant impact;(5)the farmer's livelihood asset for farmers' livelihood strategies' diversification,the livelihood strategy for the optimization of livelihood results is of great significance.
