As an important enterprise in the development of national economy, the fulfillment of social responsibility of state-owned commercial banks plays an important role in social harmony and sustainable development. This article selects the state-owned bank as the research sample, using literature analysis method and analytic hierarchy process(AHP),refer to the calendar year social responsibility report, annual report and annual report summary, apply Maishi AHP software to analyze a total of 16 indexes empirically,to examine the implementation of social responsibility of Bank of Communications during 2005-2018.Specifically,this paper divides social responsibility into seven dimensions: shareholders, customers, employees, government, regulatory agencies, the public and environmental protection. The overall social responsibility level of Bank of Communications has risen steadily in the past decade.1)since the beginning of 2013,Bank of Communications social responsibility performance score has been steadily increasing year by year, indicating that Bank of Communications is gaining more and more recognition from customers.2)Bank of Communications‘ level of staff training and team building has been rising steadily year by year and reached its peak in 2018,in which the rapid growth of staff cost and training hours per person has played a leading role.3)Bank of Communications‘ social responsibility performance score for the government has experienced an "up-down-up" fluctuation, which is mainly driven by the provision coverage of impairment loans.4)in addition to the rapid increase of the donation income ratio in 2008,Bank of Communications‘ social responsibility score for the public gradually increases year by year, which reflects Bank of Communications‘ growing public awareness.Among them,Bank of Communications‘ performance of environmental responsibility has the lowest weight among all first-level indicators, but its score increases the most, quadrupling between 2009 and 2018,which reflects Bank of Communications‘ emphasis on environmental responsibility. Finally, this paper compares the performance indicators of Bank of Communications and other four state-owned commercial Banks, including economic performance, social performance and environmental performance. To be specific, due to its small scale,Bank of Communications economic performance is not outstanding, and it can only dominate in some indicators such as provision coverage ratio and non-performing loan ratio, while it is at a disadvantage in terms of net profit, return on assets and capital adequacy ratio. In terms of social performance, some indicators such as tax payment and social donation are not outstanding, but customer satisfaction is high, and the social contribution value per share is far higher than that of other state-owned commercial Banks. In terms of environmental performance, there is still a big gap between bank of communications and other Banks, but the development is rapid. On the whole, although the size of Bank of Communications is relatively small,it actively engages in social public welfare undertakings and has great growth potential and potential in such fields as environmental protection.
