| With the acceleration of economic globalization and regional integration,the tourism industry breaks through the administrative boundary to coordinates the resources and market.Regional tourism develops in the interrelation and presents the form of network structure.However,due to the differences in resource endowment,economic conditions and infrastructure,tourism development presents an obvious regional unbalanced trend.It's important to strengthen the inter-regional links,optimize spatial distribution pattern,and promote regional coordinated development in Chinese tourism industry.Guangdong province is a major tourism province in China.In recent years,under the guidance of policies and market,tourism links between cities have been increasing,but there is still a big gap in the level of development.In 2018,the implementation plan for promoting tourism development in Guangdong province proposed to fully realize the region-wide tourism development and establish a region-wide tourism demonstration province by 2025,which put forward new requirements for strengthening city-wide tourism cooperation and realizing balanced development.This paper deconstructs the evolution characteristics of the tourism economic structure in Guangdong province from the perspective of the network,and explores the main influencing factors of the network structure,which enriches the study on the spatial structure of the tourism economy,and is of great significance for promoting the tourism coordinated development and improving the tourism competitiveness in Guangdong province.This paper focuses on four periods of 2000,2006,2012 and 2018.Firstly,the modified gravity model is used to calculate the intensity of tourism economic connection between cities.Secondly,the social network analysis method is used to analyze the overall and individual network characteristics of tourism economy,which aims to explore the evolution characters status of different cities of the tourism economic network structure in Guangdong province in different stages.Then the QAP method is used to explore influencing factors of tourism economic network structure.The findings are as follows:(1)the cities have an increasing tendency in tourism economic linkage strength and total gravitational quantity in Guangdong province,and the combination with stronger connection and the city with larger total gravity appear in the Pearl River Delta region.(2)the tourism economic network is getting closer and more complex,presenting a core-periphery structure with a prominent center,a depression all around and a spread around the Pearl River Delta;(3)the cities with more benefits and spillovers from tourism economy are concentrated in the Pearl River Delta cities represented by Guangzhou and Shenzhen,the overall regional imbalance is weakened,and the spatial pattern of tourism economy still needs to be optimized.(4)Spatial proximity,tourism resource endowment,economic development level,transportation condition,fixed asset investment,tourism reception capacity and information technology have different effects on the tourism economic network structure in different stages,and the effect of spatial proximity play an important role in four stages.Finally,policy suggestions were put forward to the tourism development in Guangdong province. |
