With the rapid development of economy,China has entered a new era of socialist construction. The demand for the function of agricultural land has also changed from a single production function to a multi-functional comprehensive utilization.Ecological regulation, landscape culture, social security and other functions have gradually become the focus of attention.Meanwhile, problems such as the abandonment of farmland, the deterioration of ecological environment and the food crisis occur frequently in rural areas. The supply of farmland function is far from meeting people’s increasing material and cultural needs. Therefore,in 2018,No.1 central document pointed out that we need to develop various functions of agriculture, promote the green development of rural areas, and promote the organic connection between small farmers and modern agriculture. As an important carrier of the development of multi-functional agriculture, promoting the multi-functional use of agricultural land is not only the basic requirements of building modern agriculture, but also an important measure to protect the rural ecological environment and improve the economic income of farmers. As the direct subject of multi-functional utilization of farmland, the behavior and willingness of farmers will directly affect the multi-functional management strategy of farmland. However, after the reform and opening up,under the dual influence of the acceleration of the flow of urban and rural production factors and the awakening of economic consciousness, farmers began to become socialized farmers. The mode of production, life and communication of socialized farmers has gradually socialized and become a member of the social production system. In addition, under the pressure of huge monetary expenditure, the socialized farmers are far away from the traditional production and management mode.Among them, the more traditional mode of production and operation with production function as the core of farmers has changed significantly.More and more farmers are part-time,resulting in livelihood differentiation and different types of farmers. Therefore, from the perspective of socialized farmers,we can more specifically explore the differences of heterogeneous farmers in response to the multi-functional needs of agricultural land, establishing the objectives of agricultural landuse and making decisions on agricultural land use behavior. So as to guide farmers to actively participate in the multi-functional use of agricultural land, and provide decision-making reference for local agricultural macro development policies and agricultural land management strategies. To sum up,based on the analysis of the behavior goal, behavior decision-making and behavior characteristics of socialized farmers, this paper uses the theory of planned behavior to build a conceptual model of multi-functional demand response and land use behavior of socialized farmers, and puts forward several research hypotheses. After that, five districts and counties around Wuhan City in Hubei Province were selected as the research area for empirical research. After that, five districts and counties around Wuhan City in Hubei Province were selected as the research area for empirical research. In the study, the sustainable livelihood capital of farmers is used as a variable to divide farmers into three types: rich farmers, agricultural farmers and social relationship farmers. Finally,Amos software is used to verify and analyze the multi group structural equation model, and to compare and analyze the behavior differences and influencing factors of multi group farmers.(1)The response of farmers to the multi-functional demand of farmland conforms to the theory of planned behavior, and the willingness behavior of farmers is positively and significantly affected by subjective norms, behavior attitudes and perceived behavior control.(2)The multi-functional demand response behavior of farmland in the study area shows randomness, which is not entirely the result of farmers’ willingness to respond.Comparatively speaking, most of the agricultural farmers and social relationship farmers show the management willingness to dominate the multi-functional use of agricultural land.(3)Rich farmers have certain advantages when they want to transform the multi-functional management mode of farmland due to their more economic income. However,in order to ensure the stable income of currency, the decision-making of multi-functional management of farmland is also the most cautious.(4)The degree of socialization of farmers in the study area is high, and theirbehavior decision-making is mainly affected by the local institutional environment and the multi-functional economic benefits of agricultural land.According to the above conclusions,in order to promote the development of the multi-functional management mode of agricultural land,it is necessary to solve the contradiction between the short-term monetary income maximization goal of farmers and the long-term comprehensive income maximization goal of the multi-functional utilization of agricultural land.Secondly,we can improve the openness of rural land production system, optimize the external environment of agricultural production conditions, and enhance the multi-functional demand response willingness of farmers. Finally,it is necessary to deepen farmers’ cognition of farmland market and non market value,so as to enhance farmers’ economic rationality and control ability to engage in farmland multi-functional management.
