As an important way to improve the living quality of residents in old residential areas, the installation of elevators can effectively improve the travel convenience and living comfort of residents. However,in practice, there is still a big gap between the demand of adding elevators in old residential areas and the actual amount due to the contradiction of difficult coordination of residents’ willingness. How to effectively alleviate contradictions and improve residents’ willingness to install elevators has become an urgent social problem to be solved.Based on this, the research is carried out on "residents’ willingness to install elevators".The specific research contents and results are as follows:(1)In old residential area equipped with elevator, the elevator transformation in the process of residents under the premise of the main problems, relying on the expansion behavior theory, based on the theoretical analysis and combined with the actual situation and the difficulties of the residents party residents to identify with the will of the elevator seven factors: perception of utility, economic income, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, fairness perception, clear property rights and ethics, building residents with the theoretical model of the elevator will study.(2)In order to verify the predictive power and effectiveness of the theoretical model, firstly, the mature literature at home and abroad was used for reference, and the in-depth interview and pre-survey were successively adopted to obtain the survey questionnaire corresponding to the research background. Then, the suitability and reliability of the theoretical model were tested through empirical analysis. The analysis results of the structural equation model showed that perceived utility, economic income, subjective norms and perceived behavioral control all had significant positive effects on residents’ willingness to install elevators.Compared with economic benefits, residents pay more attention to the use value of elevators.Fairness perception, clear property rights and moral norms also have significant positive effects on residents’ willingness to install elevators.Compared with other variables, the perception of fairness has the strongest influence on residents’ willingness to install elevators, and the clarity of property rights and ethics have an obvious positive regulating effect on the perception of fairness.Subjective norms have more influence on residents’ willingness to install elevators than moral norms.(3)On the basis of the above empirical analysis, the principle of improving residents’ willingness to install elevators is determined, and the effective strategy of improving residents’ willingness to install elevators is expounded.Based on the scientific and Technological project of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development(Study on the Improvement Path of Residents’ Willingness to Install elevators in Old residential areas(2019-R-008)),this study aims to promote the implementation efficiency of the work of installing elevators in old residential areas, improve residents’ quality of life, and achieve the goal of "livability".
