Select excellent technician to become managers has become a true portrayal of many companies. However, this does not mean that the technician will be a qualified manager. The job content and job responsibilities of technical and management positions are very different. Many new managers are at a loss in their new jobs.Enterprises and employees have many confusions about this transformation process. Therefore, through scientific research, this paper helps them identify the barriers to transformation of technicians and propose corresponding management strategies to improve the success rate of technical personnel transformation, thus helping enterprises and employees to improve career development management. This paper makes an in-depth analysis of the obstacles encountered in the process of transforming technicians into managers.Questionnaires were designed through literature research methods and interviews.Questionnaires were used to investigate the management personnel with technical background in the Pearl River Delta enterprises, collect relevant data, and use SPSS and AMOS software to conduct exploratory factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. The content structure of the obstacles that the technicians transformed into managers was compared, and the influence degree of each obstacle factor was compared using the paired sample t test, and the conclusions were drawn:1.The barriers to the transformation of technicians into managers include four dimensions: role cognitive barriers, role learning disabilities, role thinking barriers, and role environmental barriers.2.The degree of influence of technical personnel's transformation into managerial barriers presents two levels.Among them, role thinking disorder and role learning disorder are at the level of serious influence.Role cognitive barrier and role environmental barrier are at a less influential level. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, this study proposes corresponding management strategies for the obstacles of the transformation of technicians into managers.
