With the rapid development of China's economy and the rapid improvement of residents' living standards,the income gap of residents has always been an important issue that lingers on China's development and reform.Among them,the income gap of residents in the region is an important angle to study the status of residents' income gap.This article draws on some scholars' research on the methods and results of income disparity among residents,and mainly makes a comparative study from the perspective of regional income disparities in various provinces in China.The income disparity within the province is divided into the income disparity between urban residents and rural residents aims to examine the status quo,change trends,and similarities and differences of income disparities among prefecture-level cities within the provinces.First,using statistical data from 2002 to 2017,by measuring the coefficients of variation in income of urban and rural residents in various provinces and regions,the degree and trend of the income gap between urban and rural residents in various provinces and regions were compared.The 24 provinces and autonomous regions are roughly divided into four categories: those with a large income gap between urban residents and those with a small income gap among rural residents;those with large income gaps between rural residents and those with small income gaps;and those with large income gaps between urban and rural areas: The income gap between urban and rural residents is relatively small.Secondly,the influential factors of the income gap of residents are analyzed from the perspective of economic theory.This paper conducts a theoretical and empirical analysis of the reasons affecting the income gap of residents.It is concluded that the per capita capital stock,human capital level,trade liberalization,and fiscal expenditure are to varying degrees.Has a significant effect on both.At the end of the article,policy recommendations are made for the issues raised in the full text.
