In recent years, the continuous expansion of high-speed rail lines has provided large-scale construction companies with a large number of high-speed rail station construction projects. However, due to the large number of similar enterprises and the high pressure of competition in the industry,it is necessary to carry out competitive strategy analysis for such projects. This article takes J Company,a subsidiary of the China Railway Corporation,as an example. The author widely collect data on the company’s organizational system, human resources, financial management and other aspects. The author focuse on the materials of the high-speed railway station construction project, and analyzed its internal and external environment,in order to design a corresponding competitive strategy. This article first introduces the research background, research significance, research content, research methods and innovations, etc.,and introduces the meaning and types of competitive strategies, main research schools, analytical tools, etc.on the basis of this, introduces and analyzes the current status of the company’s high-speed railway station construction project, and finds that there are problems such as scattered business, large capital pressure, and obvious talent gap in the project implementation. The PEST analysis find that national macro-environmental factors such as the planning of railway construction and the demand for economic construction for the transportation industry provided excellent opportunities for the construction of high-speed rail stations. The prevailing financial pressure and insufficient profitability in the industry have prompted related companies to pay more attention to the construction of project management capabilities and strive to cultivate their core competitiveness to resist external risks. The analysis of the five-force model find that in the industry where Company J is located, the supplier’s bargaining power is poor, and the government as aservice purchaser has strong bargaining power. The high industry threshold makes it more difficult for other companies to enter. As a product there are no substitutes for the high-speed rail stations of the company,so there is no threat in this regard. There are already a large number of similar companies in the industry, which bring J Company greater competition pressure. The SWOT analysis find that J Company have obvious advantages when participating in the high-speed rail station construction project competition, and its long-term accumulation has formed a good reputation in the industry;but the efficiency of the related management system needs to be further improved and the talent structure needs to be continuously improved;external national high-speed rail planning, the potential for development and the strength of superior companies provide J with good project opportunities;rising raw material prices and fierce competition among peers have become major threats to the company and deserve its attention. This article believes that a differentiated competition strategy should be selected, which is reflected in the brand image differentiation, construction quality and safety measures differentiation, marketing differentiation, technology differentiation, etc.Simultaneously,it should also provide guarantee for the implementation of the strategy from the aspects of organization, culture, talents, financial management, etc. This study has some reference significance for the analysis of the competitive strategy of the company J’s high-speed railway station construction project, which will help construction companies to optimize their competition strategies, especially to enhance the competitiveness of railway station construction projects.
