Economic Growth Quality Measurement And Research Of Provincial Area Based On Five Development Concepts

Since the reform and opening-up,China's economy has maintained a long-term high-speed growth in general,but at the same time it has paid heavy price.The quality issues of economic growth,such as structural imbalance,resource shortages and environmental pollution,have become increasingly prominent.Under the new normal of China,economy is required to shift from high-speed growth to medium-high-speed growth,from scale-type extensive growth to quality-efficiency intensive growth,from factor investment-driven to innovation-driven.China's economy should pay more attention to growth quality and sustainable development.Firstly,This paper sorts out relevant literatures on economic growth quality theory,evaluation index system and research methods at home and abroad,in order to define economic growth quality from the perspective of the five development concepts.then discusses the measure method used in this paper.Secondly,considering selection principle of scientific,timeliness,quantifiable,referring to the research results of relevant literature at home and abroad,combining the five development concepts and economic growth quality to select indicators,and through information contribution and substitutability analysis of the primary selection indicator system,screening and finalizing the provincial economic growth quality evaluation index system including 17 indicators of innovation,coordination,green,openness and sharing.then evaluating the quality of provincial economic growth from 2013 to 2017 statically and dynamically by using the projection pursuit model.Finally,analyzing whether the economic growth quality gap has convergence between the three regions of the eastern,central and western of China through the ? convergence and ? convergence models.The results show that the regional economic growth quality between regions are significantly different.The economic growth quality of the eastern region is significantly higher than that of other regions,but the economic growth quality of central and western regions is comparable.The regional differences in China's economic growth quality are generally has a convergence feature.Among them,the central region has the fastest convergence rate,followed by the eastern region,and the western region does not show signs of convergence feature.;At the national level and three regional levels,the regional differences in economic growth quality are generally has absolute ? convergence and conditional ? convergence feature.From the three regional levels,the convergence rate of central region and western region is higher than that of eastern region,which indicates that there is a “catch-up effect” of economically backward regions on advanced economic regions.
