In recent years,consumer demand for smart devices has grown rapidly.Stimulated by strong consumer demand,various smart device brands continue to update their products,and market competition is intensifying.In the fierce market competition environment,OEM companies must try their best to shorten product delivery time,improve product quality,reduce operating costs,and improve after-sales service to meet various challenges.In the enterprise management core module,inventory management is one of the key factors that reflects the core competitiveness of the enterprise.Efficient inventory management can help companies reduce the risk of under-stocking and out-of-stocks,increase inventory turnover and reduce raw material inventory costs.Especially for the follow-up after-sales service of products that have been discontinued,the support of a good inventory management system is needed.The study of inventory management is of great significance to the smooth operation of OEM enterprises.This paper takes C Company as the research object and discusses the inventory management improvement strategy.Firstly,it analyzes the current situation of inventory management of C company’s after-sales maintenance service project,and finds that C company inventory management has high inventory cost.Secondly,by analyzing the cause of the problem,it is concluded that C Company’s after-sales service process is not perfect,and the process has drawbacks.In terms of the fact that Company C did not implement inventory differentiation management;finally,using the relevant theories of inventory management and process management and improvement,it proposed improvement strategies and recommendations for C company inventory management,and analyzed and evaluated the results of implementing improvement strategies.This paper proposes to improve the inventory turnover rate and utilization rate by optimizing the after-sales service process,and to reduce the inventory quantity of different materials and reduce the raw material inventory cost through the differentiated management of inventory.The inventory improvement strategy proposed in this paper is of great significance to the improvement of C’s core competitiveness,and also provides decision-making reference for the same industry inventory management improvement strategy.
