Under the background of economic globalization,enterprises must constantly shape their core competitiveness for long-term sustainable development.For a company,shaping its core competitiveness will inevitably lead to continuous innovation.Only by actively carrying out relevant innovation activities will it be possible to adapt to the complex and ever-changing internal and external environment.Therefore,how to promote management's willingness to undertake innovative projects is very important,and a larger salary gap is conducive to management making innovative decisions with certain risks.Therefore,in the context of this system,studying the pay gap is of great significance to the innovation mechanism.According to the research thinking of the status-theoretical analysis-empirical analysis,this paper studies the impact of the pay gap on enterprise innovation by fully considering the relevant factors including the nature of ownership and the life cycle.First of all,the background and significance of this paper are triggered by the current situation of China's innovation level and related policies issued for the pay gap and this paper studies the innovation issues in the pay gap which presents the research arguments of this paper.Then based on the theory of tournament,behavior theory and innovation theory,the research hypothesis is put forward.Secondly,it provided a basis for empirical analysis by selecting the data of A-share listed companies in2010-2016 as the object of investigation,descriptive statistics and correlation analysis of the data.Finally,this chapter analyzes the empirical results in detail,verifies the hypothesis of the impact of corporate ownership and life cycle pay gaps on firm innovation,and uses the variable substitution to test the robustness of the conclusion,then draws the results of this paper and gives relevant policy recommendations.The innovation of this paper lies in two points:(1)This paper discusses the impact of salary gap on innovation from the perspective of salary structure which hopes that enterprises will formulate salary policies according to their own characteristics and improve their willingness to take risks to promote technological innovation.(2)The paper analyse the impact of salary gap on enterprise innovation from two dimensions,then integrate the two characteristics of ownership and the life cycle of the enterprise into the research framework of the impact of salary gap on innovation.The conclusions of the paper have certain reference significance,especially toprovide a favorable perspective for the current regulatory agencies and enterprises to formulate relevant compensation policies.
