In recent years, with the rapid development of internet e-commerce,China's cross-border e-commerce has risen rapidly.Despite the slowdown in the growth of global trade,China's cross-border e-commerce industry is still developing steadily, and more and more SMEs are participating among them. However, with the deepening of economic globalization, increasing trade tensions and increasing economic uncertainty have made it difficult to predict the survival environment of enterprises.China's small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce industry also faces fierce market competition at home and abroad, such as the huge differences in consumer preferences between domestic and foreign consumers, the rapid changes in consumer demand, and the accelerated innovation of internal operating skills of enterprises.Faced with these increasingly volatile external environments, companies often fail to update their resources and capabilities in a timely manner and lose their competitive advantage. Therefore, this article takes Chinese small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce companies as the research object, and from the perspective of network embedding,it divides network embedding into overseas network embedding and local network embedding. And this article empirically studies the dual network embedding on the competitive performance of small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce companies, and explores the mediating role of IT(information technology)-enabled dynamic capabilities dynamic capabilities and the regulating role of enterprise size. This research mainly uses the research method of literature induction, business interview and questionnaire survey, qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis to study this article.First of all, based on the main research background and theme of this article, and based on the theoretical research of previous people, this article systematically defines the basic conceptual variables such as network embedding and dynamic capabilities, and clarifies the relationship between these variables.Secondly, this paper proposes research theoretical assumptions to determine the structural equation model. The research scale and survey questionnaire are designed through pre-investigation.The SPSS 21.0 software is used to perform a descriptive analysis of 217 valid data collected from field surveys and internet distribution.Reliability and validity test and related data analysis, and then use AMOS 22.0 to perform confirmatory factor analysis, model fitting, and common method deviation tests on the five dimensions of overseas network embedding, local network embedding,IT-enabled dynamic capabilities, and competitive performance variables toensure the accuracy and validity of the research results. Then,it performs path analysis and hypothesis verification on the revised model, tests the intermediary role of the IT-enabled dynamic capabilities of small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce enterprises, and uses smartPLS 3.0 to perform multi-group analysis based on the size of the company to test and adjust the role. Finally, the research conclusions of this article are summarized, and all unexpected results are reasonably explained, and realistic strategic suggestions are proposed for the small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce industry, and the future shortcomings of this article are proposed. Finally, based on empirical analysis, the main conclusions of this paper are as follows:Dual network embedding has a direct or indirect positive impact on corporate competitive performance;IT-enabled dynamic capabilities play an intermediary role in the impact of local network embedding and overseas network embedding on competitive performance;firm size plays a moderating role in the impact of overseas network embedding on firm competitive performance.According to the research purpose and empirical results, this article suggests that small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce enterprises should strengthen the construction of local cooperation networks and strengthen the knowledge sharing mechanism;at the same time, attach importance to the construction of overseas cooperation networks;then, based on the establishment of local and overseas collaboration networks, focus on internal operation management to cultivate internal competitiveness;in the end,the government should also provide necessary policy support to create greater platforms and opportunities for small and medium-sized cross-border e-commerce industries.
