Research On The Relationship Between Opening-up And Quality Of Economic Growth In China

Since 1978,opening-up has made a very outstanding contribution to the rapid growth of China's economic,and it has been proved by practice to promote China's economic growth.The report of the Nineteenth National Congress of the CPC pointed out that China will always adhere to the basic national policy of opening-up and will focus on the construction of the “Belt and Road” initiative,strengthen the open and cooperation of innovation capacity,and form a new comprehensive opening-up pattern in which foreign and domestic linkages and mutual cooperation between the East and the West.At the same time,China's economic development in the new era has shifted from a stage of high-speed growth to a stage of high-quality development.Economic growth has paid more attention to qualitative improvement.How does opening-up affect the quality of economic growth in the new era and can it promote the improvement of the quality of economic growth? Problems that have to be paid attention to and discussed.Focusing on the relationship between opening-up and the quality of economic growth,this article first elaborates the research background and related theoretical basis,defines basic concepts,reviews relevant literature in domestic and abroad,and proposes research ideas and innovations.Secondly,from the three dimensions of trade opening,investment opening,and tourism opening,analyze the mechanism of opening-up that affects the quality of economic growth,establish a systematic analysis framework,select indicators based on the three dimensions of opening-up,establish an opening evaluation system,and measure the level of opening-up and analyze evolutionary trends.After that,a comprehensive summary of the existing economic growth quality research results,on this basis,establish a more realistic economic growth quality evaluation system,measure the quality index of economic growth,and analyze its spatial characteristics.Based on the level of opening-up and the quality index of economic growth,the relationship between the two is empirically tested.Finally,draw the main research conclusions of this article,and put forward corresponding policy implications.This article finally draws the following main conclusions: First,the level of China's opening-up showed a trend of periodic fluctuations and an overall increase from 2007 to 2017.From the perspective of spatial differentiation,the overall level of China's opening-up showed a distribution characteristics of "high East' and ‘Western Low';second,the quality of China's economic growth has steadily improved from 2007 to 2017,and the quality structure of economic growth has been continuously optimized,undergoing a transition from a ‘pyramid' structure to a ‘spindle' structure.Third,the degree of opening-up has a significant positive effect on the improvement of the quality of economic growth,and the effect is different in different regions.Among them,the effect is most significant in the central region,followed by the eastern region,and the northeast region and the western region.Although the degree of opening-up has a positive effect on the quality of economic growth,it is not significant.Based on the above research conclusions,it is necessary to further increase the degree of opening-up,create a more reasonable pattern of opening-up,optimize the economic growth structure,and promote balanced economic development.At the same time,we should continue to enhance the absorption capacity,and play an effective role in opening-up to promote the quality of economic growth.
