Abstract/Summary:
With the rapid development of the global economy and the strengthening of the trend of international trade liberalization and the rapid development of the economies of various countries,China’s economy has also made a leap forward, which has brought about the rapid improvement of the consumption level of Chinese people. With the rapid development of Internet economy, physical stores and business districts are undergoing changes, which puts forward higher requirements for the study of consumer geography and attracts more and more attention. At the same time,China’s economy is trying to shift to an "export economy." Driven by the cultural market, people’s consumption tendency gradually changes from meeting actual needs to "high-quality and mediocre",that is,people begin to prefer to buy delicate and tasteful things. As the main destination of commercial investment, cities need to strengthen their attraction to capital in order to achieve faster development. The infusion of investment will enhance the urban momentum and vitality. However, the attraction and promotion between investors and cities are mutual, leaving aside the constantly optimized investment promotion policies of each city.In order to promote their own development, cities with large consumption power tend to pay more attention to the attraction of capital and attract more attention from investors. In order to maximize the benefit and minimize the risk of their investment, investors are more inclined to choose cities with strong consumption power. Therefore, more and more people pay attention to urban consumption power. However, according to the research, there are not many studies on "urban consumption power" or "high consumption behaviour",especially in terms of geographical space. In addition,it can be found through the research that when choosing their own location, enterprises often make investigations on the selected city, that is,the location selection of enterprises can reflect the consumption power of settling in the city to a certain extent. Therefore, this article attempts from the perspective of business geography through high number ofenterprises in the city are from another Angle reflects the city’s consumption level, and the results and high income level of urban residents,in order to verify the hypothesis proposed in this paper, namely "whether the high income level of urban residents and the city’s high consumption is proportional to the",and finally through the results of the study, more fully reflect the high consumption of China under the two kinds of measure combining the geographical spatial distribution difference of the city.Based on the distribution of enterprises in the three major indicators(including eight sub-indicators)of life, tourism and work, this paper investigates the geographical spatial distribution characteristics of Chinese cities under the high consumption index.Through correlation analysis, whether there is difference between high income level of urban residents and high consumption ability of urban residents is proved.Through the regression analysis,we can find out the difference degree between the high income level of urban residents and the high consumption ability in three aspects of life, tourism and work in individual cities compared with Chinese cities as a whole.Through the standardized residual analysis,it is concluded that the difference between the high income level of urban residents and the high consumption ability of urban residents is great in individual cities compared with the whole Chinese cities. It is concluded that :(1)there is an obvious correlation between high consumption capacity of cities and the total amount of high income of urban residents, but the two are not completely similar;(2)Shanghai and Beijing have prominent performance in various indicators, that is,Shanghai and Beijing have great influence in attracting high-consumption enterprises of life, tourism and work;(3)cities with fast economic development and high international reputation are more likely to attract investors, which are more attractive for capital due to their cultural brands, large population flow and other factors;(4)uneven development exists in the urban agglomeration. From the perspective of the urban agglomeration of the top 50 cities with high income of urban residents, there is a big difference between the urban agglomeration in the Yangtze river delta and the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei urban agglomeration.
