In the context of the global entrepreneurship boom, team entrepreneurship has become the mainstream form of entrepreneurship in today's society, and entrepreneurial team has therefore become an important topic of concern in entrepreneurship research. The success or failure of a new enterprise is closely related to the key factors such as the behavioral characteristics of the founders, the governance of the entrepreneurial team and the composition of the entrepreneurial team.In the entrepreneurial teams of new enterprises in China, the founders often behave in a paternalistic leadership style, which reflects the localized leadership behavior in China, and is an important factor affecting the performance of new enterprises.Entrepreneurial team governance has an important impact on the effective cooperation among entrepreneurial team members and the full play of their respective advantages, and further plays a role in the performance of new enterprises. The founder is the main leader of the entrepreneurial team, and the different dimensions of his paternalistic leadership will have different influences on the performance of the new enterprise and the choice of the governance model of the entrepreneurial team.Based on the relevant literature research, this paper builds a research model of the mechanism of the founder 's paternalistic leadership on the performance of new ventures, and holds that the influence of different dimensions of founder's paternalistic leadership on the performance of new enterprises is not directly, but through the intermediary role of entrepreneurial team governance.Secondly, this paper selects the entrepreneurial team as the research object, obtains sample data through the questionnaire survey, uses the SPSS software to sort out and analyze the data, and verifies the research conceptual model and research hypothesis. Finally, based on the results of empirical analysis, management enlightenment is proposed to provide suggestions for the internal management practices of new ventures. The main conclusions are as follows:1.The founder's benevolent leadership and moral leadership have a positive impact on the performance of startups;while the authoritative leadership of the founder has a negative impact on the performance of startups;2.The founder's benevolent leadership and moral leadership have a positive impact on relationship governance;3.Relationship governance plays an intermediary role in the relationship between the founder 's benevolent leadership and the performance of the startups;and relationship governance plays an intermediary role in the relationship between the founder 's moral leadership and the performance of the startups.
