Research On China's Outward Foreign Direct Investment And Industry

Great changes have taken place in China's economic aggregate,industrial structure and foreign cooperation due to rapid development.The status of outward foreign direct investment(OFDI)in the national strategy has gradually improved and become an important part of the economic structure,which has a profound impact on China's economic scale,industrial development,global value chain and so on.This paper takes the total investment as the main research object and the large investment as an auxiliary explanation.Through qualitative and quantitative analysis,this paper discusses the characteristics of current investment and the interaction between it and industrial development.After summarizing the development course of OFDI,this paper analyzes the characteristics of OFDI from the perspectives of total investment,international locations,domestic locations,investment subjects and analyzes the changing trend and existing problems of current industry investment by combining the overall industry investments with large-scale investments.Transverse and longitudinal comparisons show that China's OFDI in different stages of the process have shortened,the international spatial distribution is still concentrated,local investments are large but less of stability,western region average investments are lowest,number and quantity matching degree is not high,the third industry investments account for the highest and the degree of coordination with the host country needs to be improved.Based on the above facts,this article analyzes the interaction between OFDI and industrial development and calculates the coupling degree,which shows that there is a strong correlation between the two.Then I use the grey correlation analysis to compare the effects of three industries' investments and the impacts of the indicators on the scale of OFDI.The results show that OFDI in the secondary industry plays the most important role in the development of domestic industry and the increase of labor productivity can effectively improve the scale of OFDI.
