| When design leads to increases of extent and quality both in biodiversity and in human dialogue with ecosystems, landscape architecture can be viewed as an ecorevelatory communication art. How can this be done effectively?;The findings show that revised conceptions of ecology and art inspire new approaches to forming ecologically viable and culturally impelling landscapes. Reference charts guide the making of such landscapes using the themes of Reconciliation, Dialogue and Revelation.;KEY WORDS: biodiversity, habitat architecture, urban ecology, environmental education, habitat quality;This research redefines and explores ecorevelatory landscape design as reconcilation or win-win ecology, intended to reveal biophysical phenomena, processes and relationships within a local context of viable wildlife habitat The implications of using science and artfulness to form such landscapes will be discussed. Strategies, perspectives and precedents will be drawn from current landscape theory, practice and precedent to guide the shaping of landscapes that both reveal and provide for local biodiversity. |
