| Music therapy in a public school, something people don't often hear about. Although there have been some milestones with music therapy in the public schools, many school districts do not have music therapy. One reason for not providing music therapy is because of the wording in the federal law. Parents with children who have special needs have fought through the judicial system in our nation in order to obtain music therapy services for their children. Objective measurement through observation and data recording is significant for obtaining and maintaining music therapy for children in public schools. Parents, teachers, and therapists are important advocates for children with special needs who can make progress through music therapy. |
