Abstract/Summary:
This capstone project will identify and evaluate the definition of cyber warfare and international laws and regulations regarding cyber crimes. The effect of advancing technology results in policy makers within nation state governments not being able to define boundaries on cyber crimes. This research begins with identifying main nation states that have conducted and received the most cyber attacks and how those nation states react to cyber crime. There is a need to continue to explore how cyber crime is advancing and how it will effect nation states and citizens in the future. This research also explains how cyber crime can turn into cyber warfare and the lack of cybersecurity to become the principal concern. This research concluded with how will a common ground be met against cyber warfare in the future. This research also offers recommendations as to how certain defense methods can improve the safety of the Internet and the citizens who use the Internet.
