Information technology (IT) fluent information literacy is an essential student learning skill. Many courses undertaken in the first year of higher education require the student to engage the Internet for research through computer use. IT fluent information literacy skills encompass learning safe and effective practical ability involving the computer with proficient information literacy. Skillfulness to find, evaluate, and manage information through technical means has become an essential ability with the exponential growth of technology. Workplace employers require employees to use technological tools for learning, successful job performance, and business functions. The results of this qualitative modified Delphi research revealed insight for how education leaders could offer students computer and information literacy instruction in the first semester. The research method consisted of a qualitative modified Delphi design. Synthesis of recommendations gathered from interviews of educational expert panelists contributed to reaching consensus on a practical solution. Results of this study revealed developing modules to integrate computer and information literacy skill into courses is a solution for improving first year college student computer and information literacy skills. Results reflect that integrating computer and information literacy curricular modules into applicable courses benefits new college students learning skills applicable in college education.
