With the development of science and technology and the advance of the human civilization,the demands of the society for talents is no longer just stay in the quantity but rise to quality level.The society needs more creative talents with innovation ability. Talent cultivation of innovativeability permeates routine education and life education, fully implementing on all kinds of educationresources, education form and method. The main work of this paper is combining National EssentialCourses and Students’ innovation ability training in order to explore a set of strategies which mayfoster students’ initiative ability based on the National Essential Courses, integrately using theliterature analysis, network investigation and questionnaire survey method.Firstly, this paper analyzed the the predecessors’ research achievements referring to theNational Essential Courses construction or Students’ innovative ability training through thereference documents, making clear the viewpoint: the students’ innovation ability training based onthe National Essential Courses; Secondly, this paper analyzed the construction and applicationstatus of National Essential Courses Modern Educational Technology through the networkinvestigation, summarizing the subject problems; Thirdly, guided by the results of the literatureanalysis and network investigation, questionnaire survey is made between students who electiveModern Educational Technology curriculum. Relevant factors which may affect students’Innovation ability training based on the National Essential Courses are generalized and relatedenlightenment is acquired, attributing to survey observation; Finally, four strategies are made inorder to cultivate students’ innovation ability based on the National Essential Courses. The first oneis to deepen the correlation theory guidance; The second one is to integrate high quality educationresources; The third one is to optimize resource platform construction; The fourth one is to exploreCurriculum innovation capability quantitative evaluation mechanism.This study takes National Essential Courses of Modern Educational Technology as an example,hoping to bring some beneficial enlightenment to National Essential Courses construction projectteam, platform builders and curriculum designers and make some efforts for perfecting the NationalEssential Courses construction, expanding the education effect and cultivating innovative talents.
