In21st Century, human society has entered the information age, in which information, as the important factor to push our society forward, promotes the economic, scientific and social development. In the field of education, with the deepening of educational informationization, information literacy has become one of the important indexes to evaluate the comprehensive quality of talents. As the main body of academic research, graduate students need to have good information literacy, so as to be better adapt to the modern information society. For the Normal Colleges and Universities graduates, the scope of employment choice is expanding wider and wider, and employment chance extends from a teaching post to all areas of the society. But for any job, it needs to process and distinguish complex information, which requires the staff must have the corresponding information literacy. Therefore, in the information quantity expanding modern society, it has important theoretical and practical significance to strengthen the Normal Colleges and Universities graduates’information literacy training and enhance their information literacy level.Based on such a situation, the author firstly defines the related concepts of information literacy, analyzes the status of domestic and foreign research on information literacy, be aware of the connotation of information literacy and evaluation standard, and puts forward her own views on the connotation of information literacy. Secondly, according to the United States of America "Higher education information literacy assessment standards" and "The university information literacy competency index system in Beijing area", the author designs questionnaire, investigating the information literacy overall lever of Shaanxi Normal University postgraduate students and the status of information consciousness, information knowledge, information ability and information ethics. Based on the questionnaire, she points out the problems that the information consciousness and information knowledge are at a medium level, while the information ability and information ethics are at a low level, and make an information literacy difference analysis on four aspects, based on the background variables which includes gender, discipline, grade, bachelor degree, whether published articles and the information literacy curriculum type. Thirdly, according to the analysis results, the author analyzes the reasons causing the status, the main reasons included:1) The information literacy education is not paid enough attention;2) The role of master instructor cannot be fully reflected; Postgraduate curriculum system has defects;3)The postgraduate students lack of autonomous learning ability;4) The undergraduate information literacy education foundation is not strong enough. Finally, respecting the above reasons, the author puts forward corresponding information literacy training strategies, as following:1) Strengthening the information literacy education attention degree, making corresponding training plan;2) Improving teachers’information literacy, playing the role of librarians and instructors;3) Reforming the curriculum system of information literacy, achieving the plurality of teaching content and form;4) Strengthening the information ethics education, improving students’ independent learning ability; creating a good information environment, reflecting the utility of environmental influence.
