Abstract/Summary:
This study examined achievement motivation and academic success in traditional and nontraditional students. It examined 136 undergraduate students grouped by status: traditional or nontraditional. Nontraditional students were found to have higher levels of achievement motivation than undergraduate students did. However, these differences did not translate into greater academic achievement for nontraditional students. Rather, little difference was found between traditional and nontraditional students with regard to academic achievement.
