The objective question within this study is "How do two different primary protocols used for Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) compare when implemented through an 802.11g wireless network?";In this thesis work a laboratory test environment was built to compare two different VoIP protocols, H.323 and SIP, communicating over the same 802.11g wireless network. As an objective conclusion, laboratory methods were utilized to produce a comprehensive and detailed testing platform by which the results are outlined.;The goal of this work is to determine how each protocol differs from a communication standpoint. Also, this work aimed to address, from a communication outcome, which protocol if any, offers a better choice for VoIP service over an 802.11g wireless network...
