| Questioning is the main component of writing center sessions analyzed by the research of this study. The right questions can help shift the power structure back into the writer's hands by making them reflect and think on their own processes, choices, and writing. As this study shows, choosing the right questions also help in shifting the role that a consultant will take with a specific writer. Although it is important in writing center pedagogy to shift power back into the student's hands, the consultant may have to shift from their traditional writing center role in order to match the student's needs. |
