This paper discussed the form and meaning·function of Korean yes-no question as a center, compared and analysed the similarities and differences between Korean yes-no question and Chinese yes-no question, using the theory of comparative linguistics.On the aspect of the syntax, Firstly explained the characteristic of the Korean yes-no question, and generally classified the question ending as high-frequency in Korean yes-no question. Secondly to facilitate the comparison, this paper explained the mood words '吗', '吧' and intonation used in Chinese yes-no question, and carried on a discussion after a classification towards to Chinese yes-no question. Finally taked Korean question ending as a center, compared and analysed the use and meaning·function between Korean yes-no question and Chinese yes-no question.On the aspect of the meaning, analysed the meaning'function of Korean yes-no question and Chinese yes-no question. Both of Korean questions or Chinese questions has a variety of semantic and pragmatic functions, so in the same plane, discussing the meaning of questions is impossible. Therefore, this paper divided Korean yes-no question into three categories from the basic meaning, derived meaning, and context meaning, and compared the meaning'function of two languages.In this paper, the main results of comparison about questions of Korean and Chinese were showed with the chart. By the comparison of this paper, it will make us to master the similarities and differences of questions about Korean and Chinese to some extent.Ⅰhope this paper can contribute to using Korean yes-no question masterly for Korean learner, and providing some help for the research of Korean questions and Chinese questions.
