The research presents a pioneering idea that focuses on the pedagogical ability of the teacher to design and teach governmental EFL material via technology in a developing, occupied and besieged area (The Gaza Strip: Palestine). The research is meant to present a successful demonstrative study that would address Palestinian EFL teachers, decision makers, school administrators and sponsors.;The research was conducted through an empirical, analytical descriptive method. The researcher -- along with the Palestinian EFL teacher -- redesigned Unit 14 of the governmental English student's book ( English for Palestine-6th-grade) to fit as an ICT-mediated teaching material. A pre-implementation questionnaire, while-implementation reports, and a post-implementation interview were assisting tools in the empirical part of the study.;The implementation resulted in a successful example of an ICT-using EFL teacher. Results showed that the Palestinian teacher had little educational challenges and proved to successfully and effectively adapt to and adopt ICT as a medium, and that she demonstrated a high level of pedagogical development through the ICT-mediation experience.;The implications of the study suggest a pedagogical possibility for other Palestinian EFL teachers to have the ability to adopt ICT-mediated teaching, and the results bring up a certain call for the Palestinian education system to seriously consider facilitating infusing ICT as a medium in the EFL classroom in the Gaza Strip. | Keywords/Search Tags: | Palestinian EFL, Gaza strip, Medium, Pedagogical, Effectively, Educational, English | | Related items |
