With the rapid development of technology, people are more attracted by all kinds of colourful information provided for them. Using information communication technology has become the main tendency of nowadays economy and society. The information communication technology based on multimedia and network technology has become the creative tool which can promote the human capacity. Meanwhile, it greatly influences and changes the approaches of thinking and doing and enhances the school education to become gradually international, virtual and unique.It’s easy to find that the information technology has been used or appeared in the Junior English class. But it is mostly used as a tool, not used for integrating. Most English teachers can not find the proper way to integrate information technology into the reading class. Their teaching structure is based on the teacher-centered teaching, not the student-centered teaching. Therefore, the students have no chance to develop the skills of independent learning, cooperation and exploring. Neither the teacher nor the students can get the high effect of learning or teaching.This thesis introduces the strategies and methods of integrating information technology into the reading teaching, which includes five parts. The first part is about the problems of English reading teaching. The second part is about the theories on English learning and teaching. The third part involves the targets on reading teaching. The fourth part tells about the strategies of integrating. The last part tells about the methods of integrating.
