Abstract/Summary: | |
This research explores college students' travel motivations during spring break using a mixed methodology approach. In-depth interviews of nine students at a medium sized Midwest public university were employed to gain a basic understanding of the topic. The information was subsequently incorporated into the construction of an online survey that was made available to all students at the same university. Results of the study were compared to the push/pull model of tourism motivation. The particular population (college students) in this special travel situation (spring break) showed only partial agreement with the established push/pull model of tourism motivation. |
