Abstract/Summary:
Our research presents a new database and analysis tool for storing and analyzing the protein interaction information. This database and tool addresses the shortcomings of presently available protein databases and protein interaction network analysis tools. The database is built through an integrated approach on the top of two prominent protein databases whereas the analysis tool uses efficacious graph theoretic algorithms to do the analysis of protein interaction networks.; Analysis tool together with the new database can be used to understand the intricacies of an organism inner biological system working based on its protein interactions. In this research, we have analyzed the protein interaction network of Helicobacter Pylori. We have shown that its protein interaction network is similar to underpinning networks of many real world and biological systems and can be used to identify functionally critical proteins, which can potentially be targeted by the antibiotics to cure ulcers in humans effectively.
