Abstract/Summary:
This thesis studies the effect of corrosion in a simulated steam generator crevice. It examines how the addition of PAA to the feed stream effects the mass accumulation, effective diffusion coefficient and superheat inside the simulated steam generator crevice. The process of hideout and return was used to determine the mass accumulation of Sodium Chloride inside the crevice. The average superheat was unchanged by the addition of PAA to the feed stream. PAA did lower the average effective diffusion coefficient by 1.38 cm...
