The objective of this master's thesis is to describe the mechanisms used in an organization to create and share software analysis and design formalized and available know-how. By describing these mechanisms, it will be possible to have a better understanding of continual software process improvements dynamics, in particular for analysis and design activities. These activities have been chosen because of their highly cognitive nature and their critical impact on subsequent activities of the process.; In order to achieve the research objective, an empirical study is performed. The latter consists in analyzing software engineering practices of a particular organization with emphasis on analysis and design activities. This empirical study aims at answering the main research question: (Q1) what are the mechanisms used in an organization to create and share software analysis and design formalized and available know-how? In order to answer this question, two sub-questions were developed: (Q1.1) what are the formalized and available software analysis and design know-how in the organization? and (Q1.2) what are the reasons explaining why this know-how is used or not? This last sub-question allows to recognize the usefulness of creating such type of knowledge. (Abstract shortened by UMI.)...
