Abstract/Summary:
Conventional Lithium-Ion Battery (LIB) electrolytes have serious safety concerns because of highly flammability. In order to mitigate this drawback, alternative electrolytes with low volatility and non-flammable need to be synthesis. Ionic liquids (ILs) and mixed organic ionic liquid electrolytes (MOILEs) are the most suitable replacement for the highly flammable commercial organic electrolytes. In this academic investigation, a new perspective on the electrochemical performance of the ionic liquid EMI-TFSI as an alternate non-flammable electrolyte. In parallel, the use of Forcespun nanofibers as binder-free anodes will be analyzed to further improve overall electrochemical performance.
