his thesis presents an experimental and a numerical study of load-deflection (or natural frequency-load) and creep characteristics for cylindrical elastomeric components. An accelerated creep test procedure was developed for creep evaluation. Nonlinearity of load-deflection characteristic of ideal shaped elastomeric components results in their natural frequency-load characteristics having a wide "constant natural frequency" segment for ratios of maximum and minimum loads...
