With the increasing demand for information security,true random number generation schemes depending on stochastic physical processes have attracted extensive research interest.Due to the inherent quantum randomness of laser spontaneous emission noise,it can be used to construct a true random number generator(TRNG).In this thesis,the generation of random numbers based on amplitude and phase noise of a distributed feedback(DFB)semiconductor lasers is analysed based experiments.The main contents of this thesis are summarized as follows:(1)Random characteristics of the random numbers generated based on DFB laser amplitude noise are studied for different laser bias current and different sampling rate at the receiver end.As for the background noise and laser driving noise observed in the experiment,the influences of these noise on the random characteristics of the generated random numbers are analyzed.(2)The experimental system of a random number generator based on DFB laser phase noise is built.The bias state of the Mach-Zehnder interferometer(MZI)is adjusted by temperature control.And the random characteristics of the random numbers generated under different MZI bias states are analyzed.It is found that when the MZI is biased near ?/2,the phase noise generated by amplitude-phase coupling can be cancelled by the original amplitude noise when it is converted to amplitude noise by the MZI,and the random numbers generated have better random characteristics.However,with the increase of laser bias current,the phase noise generated by amplitude-phase coupling will gradually decrease,and this phenomenon will also disappear.In addition,the influence of the delay difference between the two arms of MZI on the random number characteristics is also analyzed.(3)Random characteristics of the random numbers generated based on amplitude noise and phase noise of DFB laser is compared.It is proposed to improve the scheme of random number generation based on phase noise of DFB laser by using wavelength generator based on detecting the thermal motion of molecules is also proposed.(4)Post-processing technique of random number generation is studied.It is found that Fibonacci-hash algorithm can not only achieve the same effect as XOR,but also reduce the adverse effect of short-range correlation in the original data...
