Erebinae belongs to Erebidae of Lepidoptera,comprises approximately 10000 species that are distributed all over the world.In China,South and Southwest China crosses the Oriental and Palaearctic region,vegetation flourishing,with a great variety of Erebinae species,research this group of this region has important reference value and practical significance.The research history of Erebinae is reviewed,the research materials and methods are briefly introduced,adults,genitalia and venation are described and illustrated.Keys for genera and species are also provided.By sorting out the specimens in the laboratory,121 species of 41 genera of 15 tribes are described,of which 5 species as new,1 genera and 5species are newly recorded from China,meanwhile,clear photos of adults and genitalia are also provided.The new species,new record genera and species from China are listed as follows:New species: Hamodes pseduobutleri sp.nov.,Hamodes hainana sp.nov.,Hamodes zhipengi sp.nov.,Ugia pseudosignifera sp.nov.,Bastilla odontolis sp.nov.New record genera from China: Nagia Walker,1858New record species from China: Nagia godfreyi Tams,1924,Avatha pulcherrima Butler,1892,Avatha uloptera(Prout,1925),Daddala quadrisignata Walker,1865,Sypna albilinea Walker,1858...
