Research On The Factors Affecting The Transformation And Upgrading Of Manufacturing Industry In Shandong Province

With the deepening of reform and opening up,Shandong Province has achieved rapid economic development and made remarkable achievements.In 2018,after statistical calculations,Shandong Province achieved a breakthrough of 7.6 trillion yuan in GDP,with a total GDP of 764.697 billion yuan,and the added value of the secondary industry reached 3364.17 billion yuan,of which manufacturing increased in the secondary industry.Value accounted for 87%.The manufacturing industry has always played a pivotal role in the economic development process,and the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province has developed rapidly,and the manufacturing level is in a leading position in China.The manufacturing industry in Shandong Province as a whole is complete and rich in products,but the industries are large but not strong.In the past,production was basically driven by factors of production.At present,this production method has come to an end.Most of the products are mainly low-end processed products.As the world's manufacturing industry shifts to regions with lower labor costs,the competitive advantage of Shandong's manufacturing industry in foreign trade markets has gradually disappeared.At present,the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province has some problems such as insufficient innovation power,limited resources and environment,rising to labor costs,and it is urgent to further and deepen the transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure.The transformation and upgrading of the industrial structure are the key factor for the stable and rapid development of the manufacturing industry.Speeding up the structural adjustment and upgrading of the manufacturing industry will be the focus on Shandong's sustained economic growth in the coming period.First of all,this article elaborates the background of the topic and the significance of the research.It sorts and analyzes the relevant literature on industrial transformation and upgrading at home and abroad,and establishes the overall research ideas,methods and technical routes of the article on the basis of related theoretical research.Then,this article defines the concepts and classifications of manufacturing and industrial structure,and sorts out the measurement methods for industrial transformation and upgrading.After researching related theoretical literatures,this article decides that the research object is 27 sub-industries within the manufacturing industry of Shandong Province.After sorting out the changes in the overall output value structure and employment structure of the manufacturing industry,it is classified as labor-intensive according to the classification of production factors.The three types of industries,including industrial,capital-intensive,and technology-intensive,analyze the output value structure,employment structure,and fixed asset investment structure of the 27 sub-sectors of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province.Then,this article measures the overall transformation and upgrading level of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province from the advanced and rationalization of the industrial structure,and analyzes the specific transformation and upgrading levels of the 27 sub-industries of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province from the perspective of the industrial structure advance coefficient.Based on the development status and related theoretical research of the manufacturing industry in Shandong Province,this paper selects the leading coefficient of the industrial structure as the explanatory variable,and selects the level of per capital output values,labor level,R & D personnel level,R & D input level,number of enterprises,and export delivery value.Level,cost,profit margin and product sales rate as explanatory variables,using panel data from 27 industries in 2005-2017 to establish a fixed-effects model for regression analysis and conclude that R & D input,labor,product sales rate,and per capital output value Provincial manufacturing industry's transformation and upgrading has a positive role to promote.Among them,R & D investment has the largest role in promoting the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing.The growth of other influencing factors has a negative or insignificant role in the transformation and upgrading of manufacturing in Shandong.Based on the research conclusions of this article,the following policy recommendations were finally reached: innovation to promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry;the use of enterprises to help the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry;export-driven transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry;and labor force to promote the transformation and upgrading of the manufacturing industry.
