The Gonghe county of Qinghai Province is located in the Qaidam-Alkin earthquake zone,with a structural background in which a strong earthquake occurred.Limited by economic and technical conditions,the seismic resistance performance of rural housing in Qinghai is poorer than that in cities and towns.Under destructive earthquakes,homes in rural areas suffer a more server losses in casualties and economies.Therefore,seismic performance analysis and earthquake prediction research is critical to seismic protection of rural houses in the typical region of Qinghai Province.In order to gain an in-depth understanding of the structural characteristics and seismic resistance performance of rural residential buildings in the Republic of China,a field survey of rural houses in the Republic of Qinghai Province was carried out.Based on the historical earthquake damage data in Qinghai,the earthquake damage characteristics of typical rural houses in the region were summarized,and the earthquake damage predictions for rural residential buildings were obtained,and the different damage results of rural residential buildings in the area in different seismic intensity ranges were obtained;the seismic intensity distribution characteristics of potential induced earthquake magnitudes in the region were analyzed to assess the potential seismic damage of induced earthquakes,and suggestions for earthquake prevention and disaster mitigation are given.The main research contents of this article are as follows:(1)By collecting and sorting out the seismic activity data of Qinghai Province and the Gonghe Basin and surrounding areas through the collection of literature data,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of regional seismic activity were analyzed,and the seismic activity characteristics and seismic activity environment evaluation in the region were obtained.By summarizing the typical examples in the region,the seismic damage characteristics and forms of residential buildings under historical destructive earthquakes were analyzed.The historical seismic damage statistics method is used to predict and analyze the earthquake damage of the main building structures in rural areas of Qinghai Province.(2)A field survey of earthquake-resistant fortification of rural houses in the Gonghe Basin and surrounding areas of Qinghai Province was carried out,and which includes site selection,construction time,and construction methods of rural residential buildings,etc.Statistical analysis of the structural characteristics and existing problems of various types of rural buildings was conducted.(3)Based on the currently and commonly used earthquake damage prediction methods,the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method based on fuzzy analytic hierarchy process was used for the earthquake damage prediction for civil structures and brick-timber structure houses in the survey area,which the determination method of vulnerability analysis proposed by Yin Zhiqian was used for the brick-concrete structure houses.Different damage results that may occur in rural residential buildings in the area under different earthquake intensities were analyzed,and the earthquake damage prediction results of the buildings were compared with the actual earthquake damage levels in Qinghai Province to prove the reliability of the results.(4)Regional potentially induced earthquake risk assessment was conducted.By collecting regional stress data,regional stress field was investigated,and the fault stability in this region was assessed combined with multiple stress analysis indicators.The results show that the maximum potential earthquake magnitude of weak faultsin the study area is MS6.6,and the seismic intensity is ???.For an intensity of ???,most brick-wood structures and civil structures have serious and destructive damage,while most of the brick-concrete structures may suffer from serious and medium damage with few minor damage.For intensity ?,the damage of the civil structure house is serious and destructive,while the brick wood structure is mainly destroyed and the brick-mixed structure house is medium destruction,mostly in slight damage and basically intact.In the case of intensity ?,the civil structure house is mainly destroyed to medium destruction,while the brick-wood structure and brick-mixed structural housing are basically intact with no damage.
