University is a place where a large number of people are concentrated,and it is also an important place for information energy exchange.With COVID-19 sweeping the world,the issue of public health security has attracted more and more attention.Good ventilation conditions of the university are conducive to the health of both teachers and students,also can improve the comfort level of human body.However,in the planning and design of the campus,planners often ignore the problems of wind environment,leading to the frequent occurrence of large areas of poor ventilation in the campus.Higher wind speed may cause falling of high-altitude objects,endangering life safety,also increase energy consumption,which is not conducive to building energy efficiency.Lower wind speed caused by poor ventilation will seriously reduce the overall comfort,resulting in the inability to effectively discharge the pollution substances in the area,which may lead to the occurrence of back-sucking phenomenon that can increase the health risk of pedestrians.Therefore,it is of great significance to enhance the study of wind environment in the university to improve the overall comfort of teachers and students,to build a safe,comfortable and healthy environment,and to quantify the impact of wind on people,also to provide reference value for the optimization of wind environment in colleges and universities with the same climate characteristics.In this paper,the Hongxiang Campus of the Nanhua University is taken as the research object.The relevant characteristics of the building wind environment and the current common wind environment assessment standards were firstly understood,and the influences of natural and artificial factors on the regional wind environment are discussed.Secondyly through field investigation carried out on the object of study,collecting relevant data,establishing the model of the campus,using Phoenics software to simulate the wind environment of Hongxiang Campus of Nanhua University from summer and winter,these two seasons,sub-regional analysis of the simulation result was discussed,and the main problems of the study object's wind environment were concluded,also the causes of these problems were analyzed.Then selecting the important nodes of the campus to carry out the data measurement of wind environment,contrastive analysis between the field measurement data and the simulation results were made in order to prove the scientific nature of the simulation results.Finally,according to the current wind problem of the Nanhua University,the optimizing strategies were proposed,and the optimizing campus model was established.Then the wind environment simulation was carried out again,throughout comparing the wind environment of the campus before and after optimization,the feasibility of the optimizing strategies were verified.By means of analysis and summary,the following conclusions were drawn :(1)The wind environment of Hongxiang Campus of the Nanhua University was poor in summer,but the overall ventilation effect of the campus in winter was relatively ideal.(2)It is feasible to use Phoenics software to simulate the wind environment of university campus in hot summer and cold winter zone,and the simulation results were relatively accurate.(3)After adopting wind environment optimizing strategies from the four aspects of overall campus planning,architectural group layout,individual buildings and landscape greening,the average wind speed of Hongxiang Campus of Nanhua University increased by 12% in summer and 1.64% in winter.The wind environment of the university has been improved to some extent.
